Jim’s work is both light-hearted and tropcial,
reflecting his sense of humor as well as his
40 years of study and travel in the island
environments of Hawaii, the Philippines,
Mexico and the Caribbean. His art says
more about the beauty, richness and
wackiness of nature’s wonder than any
treatise written on the subject. His early
roots in historical automobiles is woven
throughout his work as well.

He combines studies of fine art and
industrial technology from California State
University at Chico and the University of
California at Santa Cruz with over 30 years
of secondary teaching experience. In spite
of all this, Jim can still tell a great joke and
sculpt a form exuding unique personality.
He’ll be the first to tell you that his art
comes from the heart and is always a thrill
to develop.

In addition to the pieces represented
online, Jim welcomes special requests
and commissions, gladly creating a piece
to your custom specifications of subject
matter, size and color. His hope is for
these artistic endeavors to fill your heart
with joy and be a blessing to you.
